Giants Conference
As the LARGEST state chapter of GMIS International, GMIS Illinois exists to provide a forum for public sector organizations for the exchange of ideas, experiences and techniques as they relate to government technology activities, and to foster an environment of sharing amongst all levels of the public sector involved in the vastly growing of Information Technology.

GMIS Illinois has over 100 member agencies comprised of state and local government including counties, municipalities, libraries and other special districts. Our public sector memberships are given to the entire agency, so many of our larger members bring additional staff such as IT, law enforcement, finance, community development, etc., to GMIS Illinois events. By becoming a corporate member you get the ability to interact with a wide audience including key decision makers for the public sector.

Our GMIS Illinois Annual Networking + Training Symposium (GIANTS) is held every year in April. Hands down, this is THE major benefit included with corporate membership. Each corporate member receives exhibit space at the conference. The conference is primarily technical with educational sessions and, most importantly, frequent breaks providing an opportunity for personal interaction with government members and decision makers. These breaks allow our corporate members opportunities to showcase their products and network with the public sector attendees. Additionally, depending on the membership level selected, corporate members have the opportunity to present at GIANTS , addressing all attendees at once!
Quarterly Meetings
Quarterly meetings are usually held in February, August, and November of each year and are hosted by a government member. Remote locations in the St. Louis Metro-East and Southern Illinois areas also participate over video streaming technology. All corporate members are welcome to attend the quarterly meetings. Platinum Corporate Members have the ability to host and conduct a presentation at one quarterly meetings; other membership levels may, if approved, do a presentation for an additional fee based on membership level. Membership levels Silver and above may also use an exhibit table to display materials at quarterly meetings.

Corporate Showcase
Corporate members with a membership level of Silver or above have the opportunity to host a Corporate Showcase at a location of their choice. This opportunity is limited to one showcase per year and GMIS Illinois will promote the Showcase on the vendor's behalf in it's newsletter and via email reminders.
